  • Department of Housing and Urban Development - Three HUD sites have a lot of helpful housing information:

    • HUD (homepage), the United State's primary housing agency, provides comprehensive information about HUD programs
    • Community Connections is the information center for HUD and includes descriptions of model programs, case studies of affordable housing, publications on expanding affordable housing opportunities, funding information and resources.
    • HUD User Web Office of Policy Development and Research - this site provides information about HUD's publications, research and programs and includes many housing-related links. Also housing data.

  • HUD Affordable Housing Design Advisor (tools and resources for design quality, steps, gallery of examples)

  • Fannie Mae Affordable Housing Solutions

  • Census Bureau - This site includes housing information covered by the U.S. Census and is fully searchable.

  • USDA Rural Housing Service - This site provides descriptions of rural housing programs and funding of interest to local government, non-profits, developers, lenders, and individuals.
